Radon the Invisible Problem

Although we live in a very beautiful part of the country, unfortunately we do have a problem in the form of Radon gas.

A tasteless, odourless gas which is present in widely varying amounts in West Cornwall. Definite links are established between Radon levels and the incidence of lung cancer. In answer to the problem Penwith Council have been providing radon tests to property owners.

The modern way to ventilate your home

An indication of the levels of radon in a property can be estimated by having a pair of discs sited in your house for 3 months. These are then sent for analysis to check if your levels are within the government limits.

When houses are bought and sold many prospective buyers, or their solicitors, are asking whether a radon test and remedial work has been carried out.

  • If you would like the test done, please contact us.
  • If you have had the test done and you want to discuss possibilities for reduction of Radon, please contact us.
  • We can give advice and suggestions on the best plan of action to suit your particular case.
Free your home from Radon
  • Bringing dry, extra air in will force radon laden air out, reducing radon levels and making your home a safer place to live. Also making your home dry and always smelling clean and fresh. The improvement in air quality will be noticed immediately.

After you have had your test, we can, by appointment with you, visit your property, carry out a free feasibility survey and advise on the suitability of our system.
